Shared Leadership. Stronger Communities: Lanark Community Alliance Seeks New Board Members

May 6, 2025 (Almonte, ON) — The Lanark Community Alliance (LCA) is calling on community-minded
leaders to help shape a more inclusive and connected Lanark County. Through a shared board of
directors, LCA provides strategic guidance to three vital local non-profits—and is now seeking new board
members to join in advancing its mission.
“At LCA, leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about people,” says Lorne Heslop, Chair of the LCA Board.
“We’re building a board that reflects the diversity of our communities, champions inclusion, and believes
deeply in the value of every individual.”

One Alliance. Three Agencies. One Purpose.
The Lanark Community Alliance brings together the governance of three essential agencies under one
shared board:

  • Community Living Association Lanark (CLA) – Empowering individuals with different
developmental related abilities to live meaningful lives in their communities with dignity and
    respect.
  • Carebridge Community Support (CCS) – Supporting seniors, adults with varying developmental
abilities, and those in need of affordable housing through person-centered services and
    programs.
  • Clayton Seniors Housing Corp (CSHC) – Providing safe, affordable housing for local seniors.
Together, these organizations serve thousands of people each year, rooted in a shared commitment to
    equity, connection, and care.
